A SLAYER'S CHRISTMAS CAROL
composed by Brenda Porter
December 12, 2010
sung to the tune of God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman
God's blessings down on Benjamin
Twas forth on this fair day
to seek the evil dragon
it's power for to slay
to save his King and countrymen
from snares do come what may
Good tidings of comfort and joy
comfort and joy
Good tidings of comfort and joy

He ascended to the highest peak of Mt. Dragoumenos
Twas in the pit of Laiermonet he came upon the lair
Twas there it slept so fitfully without even a care
Good tidings of comfort and joy
comfort and joy
Good tidings of comfort and joy

As Benjamin approached the beast he let not out a sound
Then thrust the sword into it's breast
til no heartbeat was found
Tis now it dawns deliverance while as the glen resounds!
Good tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy!
Good tidings of comfort and joy!

Brave Benjamin victorious is known throughout the land!
His courageous deed exalted amongst the sons of man!
For he shall e'er be spoken of throughout the sands of time!
Good tidings of comfort and joy
comfort and joy
Good tidings of comfort and joy!
Merry Christmas!!!
